It is always fascinating to hear from an important figure in the classical music world speak with transparency about their career.  Celebrated mezzo-soprano Florence Quivar was  hosted by Courtney’s Stars of Tomorrow before a packed hall of ardent fans and supporters.  Moderated by Metropolitan Opera Commentator Ira Siff, Ms. Quivar spoke about her career experiences in opera, concert, oratorio and recital.

Courtney Carey is the brainchild behind “Courtney’s Stars of Tomorrow.

Vocal Village, Inc founder Tyenne Silikens was present at the event and captured several special moments of the occasion.  Soprano Brandie Sutton and mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges performed accompanied by pianist Damien Sneed at the program in tribute.  At the program’s conclusion, Quivar was presented a special proclamation from the City of New York.  Notables present included sopranos Harolyn Blackwell, Priscilla Baskerville, among others and Kathleen Battle, who slipped in towards the end of the program.

Hearty congratulations to Courtney Carey for presenting this once and a lifetime experience with this iconic singer.
